Charles Kaufmann: Interview with Nicholas Bosanquet about his arrest along with the late Robert Honeysucker, baritone, as they attempted to integrate a whites-only concert

Robert Honeysucker and Nicholas Bosanquet

Charles Kaufmann writes:

Bill, your readers will no doubt be interested in listening to my interview with Nicholas Bosanquet about his arrest along with the late Robert Honeysucker, baritone, as they attempted to integrate a whites-only concert given by Sir Malcolm Sargent and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Jackson, Missipppi in 1963, an action that resulted in the arrests of both Bosanquet and Honeysucker, and which inspired a boycott of unionized musicians in the U.K. of any future segregated concert:

We talk much about the famous Civil Rights moments, and yet many, many go unrecognized, particularly here, a Civil Rights action altering the future of Classical music performance.

Charles
