Long Beach City Hall and the Main Library are contiguous structures in the Civic Center Plaza. In 2016, a new Civic Center project began to transform the Plaza. The Main Library Auditorium has a Grand Piano and MusicUNTOLD look forward to returning in 2019 or earlier.

Season for Nonviolence was established in 1998 by Arun Gandhi, Mohandas Gandhi's grandson, as a yearly event celebrating the philosophies and lives of Mohandas Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. MusicUNTOLD participated in Long Beach Season for Nonviolence kickoff January 9, 2011 at Main Library Auditorium. October 22, 2011, MusicUNTOLD presented Pianist David Rubenstein at Main Library Auditorium. David Rubinstein is an acclaimed concert pianist whose experience included extensive work in film and television recording studios of New York and Los Angeles. His performance featured French works from his CD “Favorite French Piano Works Performed on the Rubenstein R-371 12-foot Grand Piano.”. See flyer

February 2, 2012, MusicUNTOLD presented Pianist Althea Waites at Main Library Auditorium. Praised by the Los Angeles Times for “profound musicality and superb technique”, Ms. Waites has a distinguished history of performing new music by American composers and had received several honors and commendations for her work. She had also been a guest soloist for National Public Radio’s Performance Today, KQED in San Francisco, KCET in Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
