Anthony R. Green writes:

Castle of our Skins blends music, dance and visual art in this
one-of-a-kind showcase of Black artistry. String quartets by
Florence Price and Jessie Montgomery share the stage with
world premiere works inspired by African masks and
South African artist Nicholas Hlobo’s “Tyaphaka” -
a larger than life exploration of the submerged. Full program:
Voodoo Dolls by Jessie Montgomery

Static Dance* by Pang Chun-ting     
   with a presentation on African Masks by L’Merchie Frazier

Five Folksongs in Counterpoint by Florence Price     
   paired with quilts depicting African American/American life

Tyaphaka* by Clifton Ingram     
   paired with a contemporary dance performance by Lexy Lattimore
   followed by a talk back with the composer, dancer and musicians
