David France: We are honored to commence our 5th season of the Roxbury Youth Orchestra. For many, the arts are their entry point into the American dream.

Season 5 has begun!

We are honored to commence our 5th season of the Roxbury Youth Orchestra.   This fall we once again renew our commitment to serving our youth by providing them a safe and supportive community that also equips them with the tools for profound expression through their chosen instrument.    For so many of our youth the arts are their entry point into the American dream and our commitment to artistic excellence comes alongside their need for a voice.   Thank you for also supporting their journey and our mission.

Holland & Knight!!
We are excited to announce the Law firm Holland and Knight has offered their incredible services to set up our legal Non-profit entity.    We will keep you posted on this new journey for our organization.

Our FIRST Wedding gig!!
This summer a few members of the orchestra traveled to Connecticut and performed in their first wedding ceremony.   They were a HIT and did an incredible job. We hope we can bring joy to more weddings in the future.

National Conference Performance
Just two days after we started our season this fall the students were the featured performers at the Disrupting the Poverty Cycle national conference put on by EMPath.   Our Executive Director David France along with founding orchestra member and now Wellesley student Vivian Yu also spoke on a panel at the event.

National and International Awards
Congrats to our Executive Director, David France, for winning the prestigious Byron Fellowship.  He spent a week in North Carolina with 18 leaders from around the world who are making an impact on local communities in their countries.   He also recently spoke at MIT, Harvard, and Berklee College of Music, and led his first ever social impact hackathon in Chattanooga, TN
