Maestro's Double Duty

In the 2014-2015 season, our Maestro Harvey will serve not only as the KSO's Music Director, but also Music Director of the Moores Opera Center at the University of Houston's School of Music, where he begins his first year as Associate Professor.

In addition to conducting up to four operas each year, Maestro Harvey will be providing musical guidance to graduate and undergraduate opera students. The University's upcoming productions include The Tales of Hoffmann by Offenbach,  L'Elisir d'Amore by Donizetti, and works by Thomas Pasatieri and Daniel Cátan.

The University of Houston boasts an 800-seat opera house that is arguably the finest university opera production facility in the country. Built in 1997, it was designed to emulate the acoustic space of an old European opera house while providing the modern equipment demanded in today's world.

Congratulations, Maestro!
