Hear Imani Winds Perform 4 Works on American Public Media's 'Performance Today'


Imani Winds on Performance Today, Jan. 7, 2014

Performance Today is a radio program of American Public Media, hosted by Fred Child.  The program's principal guest was the Imani Winds in Hour 2 of the broadcast on January 7, 2014.  The audio can still be heard by visiting www.performancetoday.org and selecting January 7, 2014 from the Archive, then clicking on Performance Today hour 2.  The second work is Vocalise, Op. 34, No. 14 of Sergei Rachmaninoff; the final work is Peter Tchaikovsky's Melodie. The remaining four works are performed by the Imani Winds, who discuss the origin and meaning of each work they play, in a conversation with Fred Child, the host:
