Longtime Acquaintance in Bogota, Colombia Recalls Maestro Everett A. Lee Warmly

(Jet Magazine)

Beatriz Correa writes again of the African American conductor Everett A. Lee.  He now lives in Sweden, we have learned from his son Everett Lee. The translation from Spanish is by Sergio A. Mims:

Thank you very much for your report on Mister Lee. I am glad to know that he is doing well...I remember with much affection when he was the leader of the Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras of Bogota, Colombia where I first met him.  We did communicate for a long time but it's been a long time since he last wrote to me. Once again, many thanks for your report.

With Compliments,
BEATRIZ
