Armand Diangienda (AD) is the grandson of Simon Kimbangu, founder of Kimbanguism, the third religion of Congo. Armand is the acclaimed founder and conductor of the Kimbanguist Symphony Orchestra of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 1992, Armand created this group, the first all-black symphony orchestra in the world, and the only symphony orchestra in Central Africa. Armand is a self-taught musician.
