Georgia Laster Branch of NANM Presents 'Annual Negro Spiritual Concert' 3 PM Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Crenshaw United Methodist Church

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The Georgia Laster Branch of the National Association of Negro Musicians will present its Annual Negro Spiritual Concert at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Crenshaw United Methodist Church, 3741 Don Felipe Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90008. Rev. Dr. Derrick Noble is the pastor.  

"The Evolution of the Spiritual" is a dynamic presentation of Negro History through African drums, dance, Folk, Blues, Gospel, Jazz and Opera. This concert will feature performances by Georgia Laster Branch Scholarship Winners that include Keeland Bowers, jazz saxophonist, Annelle Gregory, classical violinist, Jonathan Richards, classical/jazz string base player; Sarah Johnson, classical/jazz flautist; Princeton Parker, classical/jazz pianist and Jennifer Lindsay, classical vocalist. Also performing will be the GLB Symphonic Chorale and special guest artists.

This event is free to the public and there is free parking.
