John Malveaux: 'Violinist Annelle Gregory is 41st Long Beach Mozart Festival Concerto Grand Prize Winner'

On Sunday November 11, 2012 at Unitarian Universalist Church in Long Beach, Ca. following a scholarship brunch and performances by six Concerto finalists, Violinist Annelle Gregory was selected Concerto Grand Prize Winner of 41st Long Beach Mozart Festival 2012-2013. Annelle was accompanied by Izumi Kashiwagi during a magnificent first movement performance of Mozart Concerto #5, A-Major, K219. 

In addition to a cash award, Annelle is scheduled to perform the entire Concerto with orchestra on January 26, 2013 at California State University Gerald R. Daniel Recital Hall. John Malveaux attended the Concerto preliminary competition on November 10th and the finals on November 11th. He commends Festival Chairman Sam Warner, judges, and volunteers for continuing the Festival as they prepare for 42nd Festival. See http://www.longbeachmozartfestival.org/
